PrintWire is a communication tool used, and even individually customized for use, by printers (who are also print and paper buyers) and their customers in a free-flowing, fast-moving partnership among buyers and sellers.
PrintWire was designed as a tool for printing professionals on both the procurement and supply sides of the buying equation. As a result, PrintWire gives buyers a system for defining and collecting specifications for simple or highly complex printing jobs. Once those specs are established, buyers can simultaneously release them to one or more printers on their own preferred-vendor list, choosing who to include in the bidding process. If some of their preferred vendors are not yet on the service, they can dispatch, from the site, an e-mail to new printers inviting them to sign-up with PrintWire.
PIM continues to listen to the PrintWire users for suggestions and additional feature requests. The goal is to be able to personalize the product to meet each user’s needs. We see this as an evolving process with a singular purpose -- giving buyers and printers the tools they need to make the Internet work for them.
PIM takes no commission from the gross price of each printed job, pricing the service as a flat annual fee to participating printers. The service is free to buyers and agencies. For printing companies, the cost is remarkably inexpensive considering the management efficiencies it creates.
Private Branding is available as an add-on and also as stand-alone service. Web-listing is only available as an add-on to PrintWire service.
PrintWire is free to use for print buyers and agencies. Print vendors pay annual msubscription fees.
